Has anyone else experienced this - I have around four weeks to go and lost my appetite about a week ago. I find I have to force myself to eat regular meals and no longer get hunger pains or a grumbling tummy. I'm a bit concerned that the baby is not going to put on the weight it needs to put on in the last month. Last check showed the baby was average size.

Yeap, baby puts him/herself first! It's only going to be you who suffers from lack of nutrients at this stage!!!!

Yip I agree with Simpson, your stomach becomes so squashed you can lose your appetite. I found it easier to graze throughout the day on carrots n hummous, sandwiches, apples, rice crackers etc As long as you are eating something you will be fine, the baby will never suffer unless you are totally malnourished which I am guessing you are not. Enjoy your last few weeks and relax :)

Simpsons is right, you stomach kind of loses capacity in the last few weeks. I would just say that you need to make every bite count. So make sure that you eat really well even if it's not as much as you used to eat. Your baby will be fine, they are parasitic in that they take everything they need even if it leaves you depleted.

Yes! I have 2 weeks to go and I had to force myself to eat a proper meal this evening as I could easily just have a bar of chocolate or light snack! I think it has something to do with the baby squashing your stomach and therefore appetite is diminished!
