Last week was diagnosed with gestational diabetes(GD) and have been on insulin...hospital monitoring etc. Since then my insulin intake once a day has been increased after careful review. Now am stuck at 10units nph at night but my fasting numbers are still not coming below 90!
Doc is strictly against night snacking whereas my research shows mid night snacking helps?
Any experiences worth sharing pls...?

Hi bubbletrubble Sorry to hear about your GD, I'm no help as I've just been diagnosed today and got quite depressed at the thought! Another day tmrw, will be more positive. I hope you sort out your issues-I've gotta wait til 22nd to see diabetes expert at American hosp so will see what they suggest. Am bumbling around the Internet until then. Good luck in your balancing-if I read anything that might help, will pass your way. Take care hun Max
