I would suggest you visit a Dr to get the all clear and perhaps get some advice on things you can try. My search for a good gaeno that listensand genuinely cares came to an end when I discovered Dr Justine at Lifeline JBR. She will listen to your concerns and advise you on the next best step!

We had Dd after first month of trying and then this one took us 2 years! I went after 6 months to get checked out and was told everything was fine and there was no reason why it shouldnt happen.... Which eventually it did. I think if you are over 35 they say to check with doc after 6 months and under 35 after 12 months. I don't think there would be any harm going to see your boy/gyn and talking things through.

I found the Fertility Friend website really good for charting and working out when I was actually ovulating. Turns out I'm not a day 14 kind of girl - once we knew that, it happened pretty quickly!

Have you been using ovulation predictor kits to figure out when you are ovulating, and based on those do you seem to have a regular cycle? For my first pregnancy I tracked my ovulation this way, I figured out I seemed to LH surge regularly on day 14 of my 28 day cycle so we made sure to BD on days 10-15. We did actually get a basic check-up (ultrasound and bloods for me and sperm analysis for DH) before we even started trying as we were about to move here and if there were any issues I wanted to know in advance. We got pregnant really fast (first time we tried) doing it that way with DS, but with my current pregnancy I found it harder as I was still breastfeeding and my cycles were not regular at all. The OPK kits didn't show my LH surge this time around and I thought maybe I wasn't ovulating. Then one month I figured out that I could actually "feel" a pain, a bit like a period cramp when I was about to ovulate, we focussed on the day I felt the pain and the next day, and two weeks later had a positive pregnancy test to show for it! DD is due end of September! If you have been doing it religiously on the 5 days or so before you ovulate, and using something like OPK's/charting etc and still no joy, I'd consider getting the basic checks done now, its pretty simple, sperm test for him and two blood tests for you to check for ovulation, plus an internal ultrasound to check your ovaries etc look normal. Odds are all will be fine, 7 months is not that long to be trying, but then again, why waste another few months if there is an issue thats needs help. Oh and I also took cough syrup to try and help with conceiving DS, its rumored to help improve your cervical mucous, probably an old wives tale but worth a google.
