I just kept putting DD on the pot every 2 hrs or so till i knew the pattern of the wees and poos. There were a few accidents offcourse but it just took about a week of being grounded and she figured it out. And Yes the bribe works liek magic! ;)

Just out of curiosity - what is the Gina Ford method??? For me - we just took their pants off and they ran around in the bude for a few days at home and we ran after them with a mop and bucket - stayed home for a few days to cement it tho and used a bribery/reward method (lolly!) when they did a wee in the toilet :)

Has anyone tried the Gina Ford book for potty training? I have read mixed reviews and not sure whether to try her (quite strict!) method. Just skimming through the book, it would seem that you are fairly tied to the house for 3-4 days. (I used her book - The Contented Little Baby Book - as a [i'>[b'>guideline[/b'>[/i'> when LO was born). So I am thinking of looking into her Potty Training book. My LO has just turned 2 and thinking about tackling potty training as I am sure heis ready and intellegent enough to understand what we want him to do. He is happy to sit on the potty and toilet, especially in the morning. At nursery he has potty training too . But at home, he doesn't seem want to do this or maybe we as parents aren't doing this strict enough. Just wondered if any other mums had given Gina 's method a go and how they got on?
