Try using the regular sized nappy first, and then put a 2nd nappy (1 size up) over that. That should help with the leakages.

what age is your baby? If already on solids then rice, apples, toast all help to ...err..."dry" things up. Keep the fluids up too. Swim nappies don't soak up wee nor are they watertight, I don't see how they would be better than regular nappies.

Advice I received, but have not had the need to try, is to use swimming nappies during that time - a bit more expensive but might be ok for a short period of time.
