Just thought I would let you all know -I went to Boots in Ibn Batutta Mall today to look at the ones at 42.50 but they say on them not to be used during labour! I asked the pharmacist if you could use it and she was very unhelpful so I ended up leaving without buying one :( If anyone does manage to find out if this one is safe to use during labour then please do post as I am really interested in getting one.

Aw thanks for getting back to me - I hired one from the Physio place in jumeirah town centre mall. 500 dhs deposit, 50dhs for pads and then 1st wk 100 dhs. Had baby last wk and didnt even take it out of packet!!!! Felt the first few contractions and decided to have an epidural. My decision was based on having had 2 previous VD's only one with meptid and one only gas n air & hypnosis and this time I thought I would like a new experience!! It was so much better this time - no certificates at the end lol

Tried searching but coming up with threads over yr old. Would like to hire one from somewhere v soon TIA x You can buy new ones from Boots Pharmacy ranging from 350dhs to 500dhs. For pregnancy the maternity ones are recommended e.g. 500dhs.

Hi i have one you could buy from me if that's any use? it's a Boots Maternity Tens. Bought just over two years ago and used in my 2nd and 3rd labours. I'd say it's been used for a grand total of 5 hours and i found it invaluable. selling for 150AED? anyway it's there if you want it.
