I am sorry to tell you that yes it hurts. But I have to add that by the time they are putting in the epidural your contractions will be enough (painful) distraction not to collapse from the prick, haha.. sorry, reality check. On a positive note: once baby is in your arms you have forgotten EVERYTHING painful that has happened in the last 24 hours. Good luck!
