How to choose the nipple/ pacifier for a newborn.

I'm confused.....there are so many different ones to choose from. How do would i know which one my baby would prefer? are there any recommended better than others?

Agree with the below, unless you don't plan to breast feed then try not to give a bottle at all in the first 8 weeks at least, otherwise you can reduce your supply and your baby can reject the breast for the bottle, or try and suck on the breast the same way as the bottle, which can be a nightmare. All that said, I like the tommie yippie closer to nature teats, always in newborn ( slowest flow) size. And the nuk dummies. Some babies just don't like dummies though, my daughter refused them from day one so in her case: Teat: me Pacifier: me :( All the best for your birth and babymoon

NUK Orthodontic pacifiers are the best ones for us. I tried Avent and Tommee Tippee ones but DD didn't like them, even though she drinks from Tommee Tippee bottles. You can get NUK from any Babyshop, and they also sell the NUK chains with them too so you can clip to bigger babies so they stop dropping them!
