Hi ladies,
I read here and there that an air purifier/humidifier helps both pregnant women & babies sleep. Is this true? And if so, which would you recommend: a humidifier or purifier? Is there one that combines the two?

Sorry for the late reply, have been offline past couple of days. ;). I would say the Sharp brand is probably better (as you can literally smell the air being 'fresh and clean') and they have a wide range to fit different room size. You can go take a look at eMax stores. HTH

Definitely second what kiwispiers said. We also have Sharp plasma cluster purifiers/humidifiers as well the LG one. We have been so convinced of the effectiveness of the purifiers (in cleaning the air and after seeing how our DDs were sick a lot less), that we now have one in every bedroom of the house and the family room where we spend a lot of time. It has definitely helped in reducing the dust around the house, allowed us to breathe cleaner air and I'm sure played a big role in decreasing our trips to the doctors. ;)

Yes you can buy purifiers with humidify options. We have the Sharp plasmacluster, it filters the dust/pollen etc out of the air though a carbon filter and a hepa filter. If you choose to turn on the humidify function as well then it measures the humidity of the room and will not make the room overly wet like some humidifiers can. It will only help you sleep if allergies to airbourne irritants are the reason you are not sleeping. Personally although the purifier is expensive I think its worth it to have cleaner air to breathe. Asthema and allergies are so prevalent here.
