hypospadias surgery - any advice/recommendations
Hi ladies, i am new to this forum and from the advice i have read on past threads this seems to be a good place to find out opinions.
Mt 7mnth old son was born with penoscrotal hypospadias with chordee.When DS was born i visited Dr. Wasfi who said surgery should be done at 9mnths however i visited him again yesterday and he was of very few words with regards to if and how the condition can be repaired. he just told me with this type of condition, the failure rate is high and he wouldn't suggest doing it before 1 yr old. He wants me to take DS to a visitng specialist who comes once every 2 mnths to the country. I want to know from mums who have had sons born with hypospadius what has been there expereince when it comes to surgery to correct it and any recommendations as to who/where to do it?
