hi lovelygirl thanks so much for sharing your experiences of Dr F i know there are a few ladies currently having treatment and looking into treatment with him.
hey everybody...seems a lot of you are interrested about dr fakih and his clinic.
I am one of his old patient ...i had a successuful ivf with him in 2009, nd i followed my whole pregnancy in his clinic nd i delivered with one of his teams doctors.
i would never recommend anybody else..
well to answer some of ur questions....as we all know that in z oast DGFC was z only one licensed in dubai nd they didn t open the door for anybody else to get a licence...nd when z situation changed dr fakih was THE FIRST ONE to get dubai licence.
his clinic has a great location nd the duty is amzing they open from 9am to 9pm even on friday they provide a nurse to come nd give the injections.
Plus his team are so lovely nd sweet...they lll make u feel home....they always entertain their patients with a smile nd a special care..
the good thing in dr fakih clinic is the great follow up they provide...cause they always monitor the patient by u/s during the stimulation and by blood tests after the embryo-transfer nd always the nurses they call to give the results and always the clinic calls for appointments...they are very systematic..
regarding who s following the pts: usually the u/s are done by one of the doctors or madonna...
Mainly dr fakih is the one doing the procedures but in caase he s gone to usa for few days they have a female doctor replacing him...but i would always recommend him for the procedures.
for any info just type wht u need on the thread nd profit from the experience of old patients..
best of luck
Hi emmaberry, nickym1d and endoftheroad - I am probably doing my first IVf with Dr Fakih but would love to hear what you think - he has suggested i do ZIFT which is the most invasive form of IVF - my only problem is my T shaped uterus but everything else is fine - it seems quite aggressive for teh first go (when i have only done IUI first) - should I trust him implicitely (since I am no doctor)>
Feedback would be REALLY appreciated!
Hi MDM mom,
Dr Fakih now has a clinic off al wasel road where he can do everything, he has his liscence now!
is this to say he was working WITHOUT a license before?
Ladies, if you are from the UK and looking into IVF i would strongly recommend DR. Taranissi at ARGC. they have the highest success rate. I got pregnant from the first cycle. each patient has a different treatment plan. i was not treated like a client..which i hear may be the case here at many clinics.
and the best thing is u can freeze the embryos, so u dont have to go through the stress again.
Hi MDM mom,
Dr Fakih now has a clinic off al wasel road where he can do everything, he has his liscence now! My DH only had to produce in a cup so don't know anything about that!
I am going home for summer but hope to do a cycle with F in Sept...good luck with your decision to do another cycle! I have done 3 but am not ready to give up yet!
Hi Emma,
I would love to hear your feedback on Dr Fakih. I had a failed IVF at the beginning of January and I swore I would not do it again. After 5 months I'm now reconsidering and thinking about dr Fakih as so many people recommended him.
I would also like to hear from others if it's Dr Fakih who does all the procedures or it's someone else? And where are the procedures done (egg retrieval and embryo transfer)? Are these done in Abu Dhabi?
And my third question: I read some of your comments that your husbands didn't like to be poked with needles. What did you mean? DH only had to provide sperm in a cup, that's all he had to do...
TIA
Hi Emma,
I was with DGFC too for 3 ICSI and sadly unsuccessful, I had a consultation with Dr F and he picked on a few issues that I had with my previous Doc so I was happy with him and hope to start with him in Sept I need a break from it all now and recharge my batteries! It should Bo no problem getting medical notes, I got them from
Pancash when I left him. You are entitled to them. I. Need to get mine too, they should give you lab reports etc but won't give their private notes/ diagnosis etc...
Keep in touch let us know how you get on
Hi
I am new to this thread, I had my first cycle of IVF last month it was not successful. I am now having a rest and deciding which doctor and clinic to go with when I start again in August. I was with DGFC last time and also did 7 IUI's with them my Dr was Dr Awatif. I not sure if I will be going back to them as my husband and I have not been very happy with them. We have an appointment with Dr Fakih tomorrow to see what he is like. I was wondering if anyone could advise me what to ask and if anyone knows how easy it is to get your notes from DGFC cause if I change clinic's I want them to have my medical records so I don't feel like I am starting from scratch again!
Hi
I have had both done with Dr Wael in DGFC , first cycle half ivf/ icsi, 2nd and 3 rd cycles icsi only! All sadly unsuccessful even though I have 1 child already using iui? I am now going to try a cycle with Dr Fakih???!!! ICSI is usually favoured over IVF if there is a sperm issue or egg issue!
