We are moving out to Dubai in September and believe our accommodation is likely to be in JLT. What is life like there with a 16 month old? Is there much to do? Thanks.

I have a 9 month old daughter and we have lived in JLT for a couple of years now. We love it here (pre and post baby) and after the summer I am looking forward to getting back outside for daily walks around the lake. For the slightly older kiddies there are various little parks with swings etc and one of the lakes has been drained and is currently being turned into a massive park which will be great for families. There are loads of restaurants, little supermarkets etc so it's an easy place to live :-)

Hi I loved JLT when we lived there 18 months ago. It has 2 big lakes you can take the little on one for walks, bike rides etc. On the lakes are shops, resturants, salon's etc. It has 1 metro stop to either part of JLT.There are a number of nurseries. You can walk over the metro bridge to the Marina. Or pop on the metro to close Malls. In my opinion it's a nice starting point.
