We're starting to look now for a new carseat when DS is 1yrs old. Which maxi-cosi would you recommend and why? And where would be the best place to buy one?

We have a Britax for our oldest that we bought back home but that's not an option this time since we're not going home this year.

I have the Tobi bought from Just Kidding and it's great. They have all the different one's in the store they can demonstrate for you and your LO can try them and then you can decide which one is better for your LO.

We have the Priori Fix. Which is excellent as the isofix gives it a secure fix. It is however very heavy and the isofi bar on the floor makes it a bit tougher for LO's go climb in the chair on their own when they are a bit bigger. We also have the priori which we bought for travelling and it's great too. And infact we have had our priori fix in the cupboard for some time now as Its easier without the bar taking up floor space. And I feel DS is just as safe in it. We will be using the priori fix again when DS2 turns 1. Hope I haven't confused you.
