Moving to Dubai
Hi everyone! I'm in the middle of packing up our flat here in the UK to get ready to move to Dubai with my husband and 5 month old son (well I'm currently rocking said son to sleep after he's woken up!) and fly out on the 11th April. Starting to get a little apprehensive and looking for some reassurance and tips!
I have managed to build a great group of "mummy friends" in London that I'm sad to leave behind and I'm definitely excited to meet new friends - is it generally just coffee mornings or do there tend to be baby activities? He's still a little too little for soft play as he's a blob! But loves the music and singing we do at the local library - is there anything like that or will I be confined to singing the wheels on the bus to him at home to entertain him! We are starting swimming lessons in preparation to come out which he thankfully loves and it's starting to tire him out! He's just a very interested baby who would be very crabby if he was stuck looking at me all day long!
How do your babies react to suncream? Especially those with eczema, he was ok when we went to Mauritius but the eczema is a new development so I'm a little wary!!
I have read that breastfeeding is very encouraged - I do breastfeed and do it happily in public in the UK with cover. I've read that this is fine for Dubai too.....is it? And what when baby wants to play peekaboo with the cover? I really want to make sure that we are respectful but I'm not sure how easy that will be with mr I want to see everything!
The above is a big ramble really when what I wanted to do was say hi, I'm moving out on the 11th April and hopefully will meet some of you!
