Thanks for the reply Big Blue! I have a taken a leave from work and am home now....both the docs advised some steroid injection to expedite the lung development of the baby, so if something goes wrong, his lungs are stronger......have just taken a shot and another one after 12 hrs... Just a bit worried....as am already bored of this bed rest! ;-)

Hi Carla 1, Hard for any of us to know but I'd say it's equally hard for your home country Dr. In my opinion the best placed Dr to advise you is the one who can physically examine you and that has already happened, and thankfully she gave you positive reassurance. Now, if you can rest then do it for your peace of mind but don't get too stressed over this as stress can certainly have a negative impact on your pregnancy. Another option would be to go for a second opinion, see another Dr who can do a scan and check your cervix. If both say the same thing after having physically examined you then you should calm down and not think about it again. I wish you the best for the remainder of your pregnancy!

Hello All! Apologies for the long post....but really need your advice! Just this morning i had something "down" there which looked liked a piece of a bit hard Gelatin/Jello, pale yellow in colour with 2 - 3 small brown spots/clots, which i had to pull out. My first thought was that its my MP. Called and visited my Gynae and she did an abdominal ultrasound and internal check up and pronounced that everything looks fine. Cervix is closed, long and firm and there is nothing to worry about and i should just continue as usual. Also saying maybe it was not the MP and just accumulation of your discharge which passed out. I called up my family Gynae in the home country ( He is a very well known and well respected doc there with i think 40+ years experience) and told him all. He is 100% sure it was MP and has advised me to go on complete bed rest for the next 2 weeks! as he is fearing that there are high chances that i can go into pre-term labour and wants to ensure that atleast the baby crosses the mark of 32+weeks. The confusion arises as i have two very opposing advises.....I agree no harm in taking rest for 2 weeks.....but then should i be worried about the safety of my baby? or be a bit relaxed as the doc who did all the exams is confident that it is nothing to worry about......... Please share your advises/experiences with me....as you all can understand...it is a very stressful time for us! TIA
