Hi,
Am currently desperate for help! My DS is 10mo old and had always been a pretty good sleeper. He now won't go down for daytime naps for longer than about half an hour (after BF). He will sleep when on the move, so going for long walks (about 1.5hrs) so that he will get some sleep. Tonight I couldn't get out until about 5pm so he had a great sleep. But then when we came home, he was overtired when I was giving him dinner and a bath. Then wide awake till about 9pm when he finally took his Goodnight Milk and went to sleep. Means I'm now getting dinner at 10pm and lost any time to myself.

I really want to stay away from the crying it out method as it goes against everything I believe in. Been trying earlier bedtime (has been around 8-830pm) but he is so awake it makes life difficult.

Then he wakes during the night. Usually get about an hour to an hour and a half before he wakes again then sometime around 3-4am. Have upped the amount of solids I give him so he is full and not waking for hunger.

Really at a loss at what to do and slowly losing my mind!!

I have a 10 month old who has never been a good sleeper. She maps twice a day for 30 minutes but goes to bed at 6.30-7pm and stays in bed for 12 hours. I would suggest that a 5pm nap is far too late (im no pro) but if you try and have the last nap around tea time (4 ish) and then maybe he will be ready for bed around 6/7?
