Hi All,

Im 9 weeks pregnant with baby no 2. The first time around i had no early pregnancy symptoms at all but this time i have each and every one in the book! :( Its been about 3 weeks since my sinuses are blocked. I have a stuffy nose and blocked ears....ive read that this is normal during pregnancy. :( My Gyn didnt seem to worried about it and just asked me to use a nasal spray to help breathing.
Does anyone know how long it takes to go away? i feel almost handicapped as i need to strain to hear anything! :(

Thanks[b'> Plumie[/b'> & [b'>Tru Blu[/b'> for the support...at least i know its not just me! I was wondering if i should see the ENT about it, but maybe i just need to be patient! It will pass hun, like many pregnancy symptoms! And just when you think you are over one, another one starts :) Good thing is though, once you are holding your little angel in your arms - EVERYTHING is forgotten!

I suffered from this for a few weeks, until it eventually cleared in the second trimester, around 16 weeks. The stuffiness is caused by the high amounts of estrogen during pregnancy, which causes swelling in the mucous membranes of the nose. Everyone is different and yours may not last as long as mine did, but i know how irritating it can be :(

Oh, you poor thing! The first 12 weeks are tiring enough during pregnancy without being sick too!!!! I was very healthy during my first pregnancy (in Perth) but 2nd time round (here in Dubai) I got sick and run down quite often. Perhaps something to do with having a 1 year old to contend with and I think I also had more time and more focus to be healthy during my first pregnancy. I hope you start to feel better soon {{{HUGS}}}
