Don't know if there are many Irish ladies out there but would appreciate some inside info! :)

My friend (Irish) is due to deliver in the beginning of April. She is hoping to be able to travel to the UK 2 months later. My question is; how long does it take to get the babies Irish passport and if it takes ages can the baby get a temp one?

I think it can take serveral weeks to get the passport. She can call the consulate in Abu Dhabi on 02 678 9600 to get a clear picture. When I last applied for mine it was thru Riyadh, but with the consulate in Abu Dhabi now things may be quicker.
