Have to agree with the below, and if your baby is already over eating, and refluxing then do you really think you need to give top ups at all? It's also possible to formula is upsetting his stomach, which is why he's getting upset. Can you not just stick to breast feeding?
If you want to keep nursing long term, don't get a bottle with a faster flow. If baby is throwing up, he most definitely is getting too much and doesn't need the top ups. Sometimes babies just want to nurse for comfort not to get food and I suspect that's why he's getting upset with the bottle. They can change the way they nurse to get little to no milk but with a bottle the formula/milk just keeps coming out. Making a practice of topping up is just risking nursing problems in the future. Cluster feeding (frequent/long nursing) is very common in the evenings over the first few months and has nothing to do with mom not producing enough. It's baby's way of tanking up for the night and dealing with overstimulation from the day.
DS is breast fed and top fed on demand esp during nights..of late he gets extremely angry and frustated after 2 minutes at the bottle... wondering if he needs different flow, which bottle is best for a little more flow . baby has habit of throwing up or guzzling more...takes in more than spits up...once nearly choked too...so scared of more flow nipple too.......
