Pediatrician appointments - how often?

My baby is 3 weeks today and we've been for a two week check-up with a Pediatrician and were then advised to see him next at the two month mark for his vaccinations. Shouldn't we be going in more frequently for weigh-ins? We just went to the Ped at City Hospital where we delivered but I'll be looking for someone closer to the marina side of town if anyone has any good recommendations.

Thanks so much that's great to know that I can just drop into a clinic. All I want to do is be able to keep track of baby's weight between Doctor's appointments just to make sure he's doing ok.

You can go to any clinic and the nurses will weigh bubs for you and you can record it in your book. I think some people like to go every week to get an idea of weight increases. We didn't - could literally see DD getting bigger by the day, she fed well and i was never concerned about her weight, so just stuck to her advised appointment times. I did make sure she was weighed once a month though (if we hadn't seen a doc for another reason) and have popped into the Meadows Clinic where the nurses popped her on the scale for me. You don't need an appointment just for weighing.
