We are potty training DS for the past month, but it mostly at home and nursery. What about outings? What should I do? So far we are keeping nappies on him when we are out & about.

At JustKidding I have bought a portable seat that fits over the adult public toilet seat and I take this out with me for DD to sit on the toilet when we are out and friends houses etc.

Well, DS doesn't use potty - he does his stuff into big toilet. With wee, I am not worried, I can take him every 30 min, but I am just thinking about #2, because he is unpredictable about that and usually it exactly happens when we are out :( well, it seems I will have to take several sets of pants in case of accidents. Help me god :)

mothercare has this portable potty seat. http://www.mothercare.com/The-Cushie-Traveller-Potty-Seat/dp/B001CFP4T4?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_4&nodeId=42764041&sr=1-4&qid=1306923624&pf_rd_r=0T4H9CHBDQYZRTNJ9PA9&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=231490887&pf_rd_s=center-7 Its portable and foldable and very easy to clean. Its not exactly super sturdy, but it works.

You can get portable potties too. You just have to get used to offering toilet time at every available opportunity when you're out and about. Make sure you try to let him go say before you go to the supermarket. I've lost count of the number of trolley loads of unbought groceries I've had to abandon amidst shouts of "wee wee now Mummy"!!!

Keep pants on rather than nappies - sends confusing signals. Take a potty with you with a nappy in the bottom to collect any toilet incidents then you can dispose of the nappy easily. I used to just take DD to the toilet every half hour when we were out to make her try at least. also put a towel on the car seat with a plastic bag underneath, just in case. Good luck!
