As others have said, even if the brand is considered safe (BPA free bottles, better quality water) the transportation and storage in this region is atrocious, even for big super market chains. The best way to control the water you drink is to get a water filter at home but even then, do your research, there are plenty that could be a waste of money. BPA aside, I certainly avoided water dispensers at the office when pregnant (and when not) as in water tests these come out with the highest quantity of bacteria per volume of water due to poor cleaning and maintenance.

I investigated this when we first came out and Masafi appeared to be the only brand free from BPA. This may well have changed as they changed their bottles recently. The other option is to install a water filter.

It's not the water it's the bottle material and this is (or should be) a concern for everyone living here and not just pregnant ladies. For the large water bottles which are used with water machines, Masafi are the only ones I am aware of that are BPA free. Whether you leave them out in the sun or not, they may have been heated/left in the sun somewhere along the chain prior to you purchasing (even from a supermarket) so the best thing to do is buy water which comes in BPA free bottles.

So based on this what water are pregnant ladies drinking here? I have been drinking from the big bottles we get delivered but I am pretty sure these get heated by the sun in the trucks they are delivered in! Do I need to be buying directly from supermarkets and if so which water is recommended? I have been told my toddler should only drink Evian so should that be the same for me now I am pregnant?
