Hi Maggie! I am sorry you are going through this :( And I know how terrible the back pain can get. When I started out my pregnancy, I had one prolapsed disc which was not yet touching any nerve. And hence, the pain was not unbearable (though at times I could cry) and I did not require any medication. I am 32 weeks now and thankfully for me the ride till now has been not as bad as I expected it to be. I am mobile and active and still carry my toddler around! The doctors have advised against it but I wish I had an option! I find the day gets through without much of pain ... but the nights are getting worse. Find it increasingly difficult to sleep now and roll back again to the sitting position. I find that my pelvic bones are grinding and I am not sure if this has anything to do with the prolapsed disc. Whenever I turn to the other side in the night I hear my back bone pop! Can't walk as much as I used to with my first pregnancy and I usually end up extremely tired even with short walks. I haven't met any nuero surgeon or physio for my back pain, so unfortunately cannot guide you through it. My ortho had suggested a c-sec and I have decided to go for an elective c-sec as I dont think I can bear the pain of it all. Fingers crossed that my next 6-7 weeks would be pain free or atleast manageable the way it is now! Post delivery back is another ball game!! Will update you once I deliver and let you know how I get on. I will pray you get through it without much trouble too :) x How are you hiccup? Any good news your end? I saw my consultant today, expecting a decision, and got told come back in 4 weeks for a decision...
