What is your opinion on Pronutro Toddlers? I've been giving my LO a maize cereal from SA but wanted to move to Pronutro now that she's over 12 months. I thought she would enjoy the vanilla flavour and the consistency is similar to what she's been having. I recently heard though that it has quite a lot of sugar and is not recommended for toddlers? I checked the ingredients and there is sugar and malt extract. Can anyone help with what I need to look at in the Nutritional Info to see if I need to rule this out as an option or if I can go ahead?

Heh heh...you sound like my hubby and I! Which is why I was so excited to see the toddler version on the shelves here. Just had a look and it says 33% iron per serving which is great seeing she won't be on formula for ever. Pros and cons I guess. Thanks for the feedback.

I have been giving my DD (13 months) Pronutro Toddlers. There are lovely flavours like Pear & Yoghurt and Peach & Apricot. I must admit that I did not give much thought to the sugar content but I know she loves those flavours -probably because they are so sweet. At least she eats all her cereal. We struggle with lunch and dinner is such a hit and miss with her that I really don't mind giving her this in the mornings. I've been alternating these 2 for the past 2 months. It does keep her full the entire morning. I just love Pronutro myself and clear out the Waitrose shelves whenever the chocolate flavour comes into stock.
