A question for anyone who is a doula
Ive wanted to become a midwife since I left school but between getting married, having children and moving between the UK and here for the past 6 years it's just not happened. I looked into training out here a few years ago but soon realised it wouldn't be possible.
After a bit of research I've found you can train to be a doula which after reading up on I think I would also love to do.
I have two children, one at school and one toddler. My question is, do you think it's possible to do this job with young children? If there are any doula's out there with young children, how do you manage it? My biggest worry is what if I was with a lady in labour and my eldest needed to or from school?
Sorry if these sound like silly questions but I just want to make sure it's the right thing to do before I take the next step.
