When you changed from Stage 1 formula to Stage 2 formula did your baby take a while to get used to it? Tummy pains? Wind? Anything else? My 6 month old had her vaccinations on Sunday and changed to stage 2 milk on Monday and has had 2 nights of sleep where she has been waking up with what looks like wind! Im wondering if its the changeover of formula and her little body getting used to it?

Any thoughts please?

change back to stage 1, as perkynana said the stage 2/3 are just marketing ploys. stage 1 has all the right vitamins in it so no need to change.

Hi Mmmmmm My DD still has formula at 17 months (as I am allergic to dairy so we are introducing cows milk a lot slower than normal after discussion with our dr) and Dr recommended against moving off the equiv to stage 1 milk as he said that stage 2 just had more sugars etc and stage 1 had everything they needed. I have also read on BF forums that stage 2 and follow on milk is just a marketing tool to encourage formula use for longer. This is only what i have heard so maybe check with your dr because you might be ok sticking with stage 1 and skipping any hassles of changing.
