Hi everyone,

My husband and I have moved from Doha to Dubai, and I'm due in the next 4 weeks or so. We've decided on the American Hospital, and I just had a couple of questions:

First of all, can your husband stay in your room with you while you are on the maternity unit after delivery?

Second, does the hospital have wifi access?

I'm delivering with Dr Braithwaite, so if anyone has delivered with her, i'd love some feedback.

I delivered there about 9 months ago... like the previous person said, hubby can stay and there is no wifi. We went to DU and got a little thumb drive for the internet it was about 400aed but its worth it (we were there for 4 days)

Hi DohaHW, Welcome to Dubai & congrats on your pregnancy I delivered with Dr Braithwaite in AH 5 weeks ago. Dr B is great, I couldn't fault her from start to finish (saw her for my whole pregnancy too). She's straight talking but in a nice way, theres just no BS with her. She's very encouraging & sees pregnancy & labour as a very normal, natural event so is not jumping in to intervene without a reason. This I really liked about her. The hospital unfortunately does not have wifi. Yes your husband can stay with you, there's a couch there he can use. They charge AED165 per night (I think, it was something around that) for him to stay & then a small amount for the meals he orders. I ended up having to stay 8nights & DH stayed the whole time. It was great, although I did hear him moan about the couch towards the end of this time!! :) Hope this helps, shout if there's any other questions you have, happy to help Best of luck with it all, g :)
