We are thinking about trying for #4 - my last pregnancy was eventful as I had placenta previa and ended up with a GA at 33 weeks because of a bad bleed. Prior to this I have had a D&C and a c-section.

Specialist at the time said I probably shouldn't have anymore but I really want #4. I know most of the risks but want to go and talk to a specialist that deals in high-risk pregnancies.

Also would like to know what hospitals I should be looking at should we go ahead with trying.

Thanks.

I second Dr Elsa at City Hospital. I went to her for my 3rd and was high risk and ended up delivering at 30 weeks. NICU at City is fantastic - just check your insurance coverage will cover NICU for your LO (esp when you're discharged as this can be their "get-out" clause in their fine print!). I felt completely comfortable the entire way through my pregnancy and she was very on the ball when the proverbial hit the fan, as were the NICU - fabulous care for all of us.

If I were you, I would go and have a chat with either Dr. Grace (I think she is at the Dubai Mall clinic) or Dr. Elsa at City Hospital. When I had a high risk pregnancy, I asked a doctor friend who she recommended - and she suggested Dr Grace. Then, when I had my twins (also risky, but for a different reason) I ended up with Dr Elsa, who is brilliant. As for hospitals, you would be fine with either American or City - but you should also register with Al Wasl, as they have the best (and least expensive) NICU.
