Hi all,
Just wondering how long you left your silicon dressing on after surgery? I have heard varying recommendations between here and UK and would be grateful for some input from anyone who has experience of this. Thanks!

Hi there, I dont know if its the same one i had... but mine i removed after each shower and replaced with a clean one. The nurse gave me 3 to alternate, once used i washed with soap and left to dry. I had to leave this on for 10 days... on day 7 i decided to take it off and leave it open at night time and only put on in the morning.

sorry I cant help as I didnt have a silicone dressing, but I had no dressing at all by the time I left hospital, just a spray. My incision was glued rather than stitched and it was fine for me to get it wet under the shower etc, pat dry and then spray. Maybe check with your obgyn as they all use different techniques?
