My DD was also on S26 Gold. Whenever we traveled we used the SMA Gold pre made cartons. I remember my husband even tasted them both and he couldn't taste any difference. From memory (although I could be mistaken, its hazy) I'm sure we even checked the ingredients and they were the same. Good idea to have your baby try the SMA here before you travel.

SMA and S26 are not the same milk, but since SMA is available here you could try giving it to your baby and see if she takes it well so that you don't have to carry tins with you. Most supermarkets have the SMA prepared milk bottle that you could try for ease, they're also great for travelling so you don't need to worry about carrying boiled water etc. However, I must say that before my DD turned six months I tried to avoid switching formulas, perhaps there's no science to my thinking but I figured after six months and with solids having been introduced her digestive system is much more developed and shouldn't be seriously impacted by a formula change....

Hi, when we went to the UK we took quite a few large tins with us, my son was already a year old at the time but a very fussy one! When I ran out of S26 I got him sma gold and he was happy with it. The only difference was that as he was on the milk for babies over 6 months the s26 had vanilla flavor added to it and the sma didn't so it wasn't as sweet. I don't think s26 for under 6 months has a vanilla flavor. If I were you I'd take a few large tins with me though.
