I just travelled from DXB to the States with 8 bottles of pre-boiled water + pre-measured formula....no problems at all, although exiting the U.S they did scan the water bottles, but no problems. Was actually enjoyable! :)

Yeah not sure about Etihad/Abu Dhabi airport, but it was a breeze flying out of Dubai with formula and bottles of pre measured water. ;) Can second that. No problems at Dubai airport.

haven't flown eithad but have done qantas and emirates and not had a problem with either airline. We took water in bottles as well as a full tin of the powder... we also had pre-made forumla when we did the UK and was only asked as we were leaving the UK to open and taste 1 of the 6 premade cartons I had on me. You should be completely fine... if you are worried however, please give the airline a call to check.
