I use Hipp organic and it used to be in a packet but now its in a huge tub! How do you take your formula out and about? I don't want to take the big tub with me!

JShep.....I did not have any problems at all. I was never asked to sip any of the water or make any bottles. they just looked in the bag and asked is this all for the baby and I said yes then they zipped it up and said thank you. Maybe I was lucky? But even on my way back to Dubai I didnt have any problems either! I did not go through Europe though I went straight to USA from Dubai. Good luck with your travels!

The last time when i traveled i had the huge thing in the stroller bag. Unfortunately they have opened it and then they have put the plastic lid on top. So you can imagine I had the powder all over the place in the stroller bag and nothing left in the container and it was all over the stroller too..This time I will put the powder in a click n lock box and put the milksticker on top. I was glad that hipp was available in Germany..I use the containers from organic shop for the flight, one screws on top of the other one.

Depends on the country you are travelling and airport staff on the day. I am fine leaving Dubai but always coming back through glasgow I am asked to make up a bottle if the powder is in the bottle and always have to get the water once through customs as even unopened water is taken off you.

Thanks for the info :) great idea gusncoley think I might try that then there is one less thing to carry and nothing extra to spill. Only thing is do you have to taste it or have any probs in customs?

I pre measure my formula powder in to the bottles put the lid and cap on, then I take a 16 oz bottle of ARWA water in the diaper bag along with the bottles. When she is ready to eat I just add the water, shake and she drinks it right up. :) She is 6 months now so i dont worry about all the boiling anymore. She does just fine. I recently traveled to the states from Dubai and this is what I did. I made up 12 bottles w/just the powder and brought 4 16oz arwa water bottles along. I did not have any problems at the airports at all! It was so easy to just open, pour and shake!

Whatever you do, don't purchase the 'Juniors' brand formula dispenser from Babyshop. I did and when we travelled it was completely messy and useless. It is impossible to poor ALL the formula powder into the bottle from the dispenser so therefore your formula is not accurately measured.

They sell them everywhere, lulu, geant, babyshop, mothercare, boots :) Most brands have one ie avent, tommee tippee etc but to be honest they all do the same thing and I got one for 10dh in either C4 or babyshop edited by Maid Marion on 17/01/2011

Have you tried one of these http://www.boots.com/en/Avent-Milk-Powder-Dispenser_16814/ Most brands have their own design but the idea is the same.
