Hey ladies.

Need advice ASAP. did a pregnancy test earlier this week and it was positive. Just been to the bathroom and noticed a small trace of blood. havent seen a Dr yet as cant get an appointment til first week of december and this is my first pregnancy so am still pretty clueless at the moment.

Is this normal or should I be worried? What do I do now??

Princess and cakes, thank you so much for the reassurance, I feel heaps better now knowing it is completely normal. Its just been the once so far so I'll keep an eye on it but not so stressed now, so thank you! :) And thanks for the contact details Amy. Gona try and wait til the 3rd but at least now I've got a back up plan! ;) Princess, its an OB appt iv got on the 3rd with Dr Ibrahim at City. I used to work at City hospital so know Dr Elsa very well and would recommend her without a doubt, the only prob is that she's extremely popular and currently booked up til end of feb, so Im going to see Dr Ibrahim in the interim - he's also pretty good from what I've seem of him, and he's very nice and easy to talk to, so Im happy to see him until I can get an appointment with Dr Elsa. Also I think im happier with the thought of delivering at City as its familiar surroundings for me and I know most of the staff, so sticking well within my comfort zone on this one!! ;)

Congratulations LMAO-DXB, i had exactly the same when i first found out, called MIL who is a midwife and she said exactly the same as PrincessG. I bled quite a few times over the space of 2 weeks so dont be worried if it happens again... as long as its brown then its fine :)

You're very welcome, I'm due the 23rd June, will be 9 weeks tomorrow...so super excited, it's our first & just can't wait til we've told everyone & we can finally talk about it in the open! Lol Thought telling you I was a midwife would reassure you a bit more, to be honest if it wasn't good news you'd know all about it rather than just a bit of spotting & mild cramping....it's rare that it's bad news with your small spotting, really believe (without seeing it & knowing your full history) that it is just an implantation bleed, which is perfectly normal. Not everyone gets it (I didn't) but it is ok Don't over do it, rest up & relax....your appointment will come around in no time, is it just a GP you're going to on Dec3rd or is it a OB appoint? Just curious ..as I'm still a little unsure of where to deliver although I have met a great OB in the American Hospital

Thank you for your response PrincessG! Yes, according to the online due date calculators Im around 4weeks ish. Just went in to complete panic mode but didnt want to rock up at A&E looking completely neurotic!! Reassuring to know that you're a midwife (so you prob know way more than most A&E staff here!!) Will just see how it goes over the next few days then and wait til my appointment on the 3rd dec, unless things change significantly that is! And congrats on your pregnancy too! When are you due?

Hi there LMAO-DXB, First of all Congrats on your BFP :) If you got your BFP this week am I right in assuming you are a little over 4 weeks? If you are, then this small bleed could just be an implantation bleed & nothing to worry about I would also say that because it's only small that it's nothing to worry about, an awful lot of people have some small bleeding during early pregnant & go on to have healthy, happy 9months after it! The time to worry about it is if it becomes heavy, heavier than time of month & quite bad cramps. Small cramps are normal, like stretching pains & pain on side you ovulated from (my right side kills me sometimes, & my right hip!!) Hope all this helps, try & relax & take things handy, wishing you the very best of luck :) x
