Appreciate babies make a lot of noise in their sleep but he grunts/wheezes/moans and occasionally quite loud - that he's keeping us up all night e ven tho he seems asleep. He exclusively bf but given a bottle of EBM most nights - he is almost 5 weeks. We burp him before laying him dwn. Any ideas if it could be reflux or anything else?

My LO used to that, turns out she has reflux, so after feeds and burping I keep her upright for 10 minutes, then lay her down at an angle. It's really eliminated the grunting! Also I give her the pacifier which helps soothe her and she can't make any noises when it's in her mouth ;)

Yes I think we are already doing that. Will try more! Also last night we had the same grunting post the 3am feed which was breast fed? During the day he is fine post feeds....:s

it could be more winding is needed as he is taking bottle at the last feed? bottles cn cause baby to take in more air than breast. does he make any 'eh, eh, eh' sounds ? that usually mean more wind. You can pick him up while asleep and hold him upright w/o patting and he could produce another little burp.
