You stop using it around 3-4 months so to get your money's worth probably buy before your baby is born. My favourite is the mama's and papa's "nest" (bouncer and rocker) as its really deep and so you can sort of plop your newborn in rather than strap them, my guy never really looked comfy in the mothercare one I was gifted.
