How soon did you start shopping for baby things? I know quite a lot of people are superstitious about waiting til quite late on before you start buying things, and it is very early for me but have just seen the post saying that there are some massive sales on in Babyshop at the moment.

To shop or not to shop.....that is the question!

Think iv got a bit of a way to go then! :) When are you due Anon? June 23rd I also have a long way to go. Once I find out the gender, I will get bits and bobs here and there. It is my third and I have gotten rid of all my baby stuff. But I'm much more laid back this time around and will not be buying half as much as I bought for the first two because so much stuff is hardly used!

Baby no 1 i bought most things before 21 weeks. He was a bigish baby so didn't fit any of the new born stuff I bought him. Baby no 2 started shopping at 32 weeks, becuase baby 1 was big I bought her 0-3 months clothes which were all too big for her coz she was only 7lbs. Baby no 3 bought most things after he was born as the other two were completely different sizes from each other that I thought I would wait and see how big/small he would be. Good thing I waited he was 10lbs and 2 feet long! Generally though I would say buy pushchairs, carseats basinetts etc by around 36 weeks.

as soon as we got all clear results from NT/CVS at 12 weeks + and found out its a girl. I do not want to run around shops 8-9 months pregnant also taking advantage on various sales in shops when I can will help with a budget :)
