I would also add the new Al Zahra Hospital in Al Barsha to your list. Their head midwife, Sally, is an absolute dream. They also seem much more patient service oriented than any of the other l&d/maternity wards we have toured. If you search this forum, you will find countless threads and recommendations on OBs in Dubai. It all seems to fall on personal preference and word of mouth. For my personal plug, I recommend Dr. Jozsa at Healthy Bay Polyclinic. He is really open and responsive and his staff are very friendly.

Hello there, I am new to Dubai and am 9 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Im trying to work out whether to have my baby here in Dubai or go home to Australia. I would prefer to have it here so as not to be away too long from my husband, but am just not sure where to start. I have heard American hospital and City hospital are best. Am I best to just make an appointment at either and they will explain the processes? We will be covered under insurance so is it a matter of 'shopping' for the obs that you like best? The process at home is different and based mostly on midwives? Any advice would be wonderful thanks!
