I'm due in october and intend to breast feed however I have been advised to have formula on hand just I case it doesn't work out. I did intend to buy the NAN formula but have been told by friends using it the formula has recently changed and is causing problems for a few LO's.
I would like to know which other formulas come highly recommended in dubai that are not only good for bubs but easy to get hold of..
Thanks

I agree, really try to breastfeed, if you have formula its very tempting to just start them on it asap! If/when you do decide to formula feed, I highly recommend Aptamil, it's very good quality. The powder is very soft and easily dissolves, and they have lots of different types to address baby's needs (like Comfort for easy digestion, AR for babies with reflux). I had DD on Similac first since thats what they used at the hospital but it made her gassy, and I feel like Aptamils quality is far superior, with a very small price difference.

I don't think you need it on hand, its not that hard to buy if you decide not to breastfeed, much better to have an LC on hand to help you if BF gets off to a rough start.

I wouldn't worry too much about it for now. See how it goes after your bubs is here :) Formula is available everywhere and it takes minutes to get one from the store. DD didn't like Nan (it smelled like fat), but got taste for Aptamil edited by dramaqn on 07/09/2012
