Everyone's beloved Disney character is record-breaking

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Disney's Mickey Mouse, the world's tallest Mickey Mouse floral structure was unveiled at Dubai Miracle Garden this week.
The sculpture feature is Disney's first character floral display in the Middle East, and is made from almost 100,000 plants and flowers. It stands at 18 meters long, and weighs roughly 35 tonnes.
Now, thanks to Mickey, Dubai Miracle Garden have earned themselves the Guinness World Records title for the 'Tallest Topiary supported Sculpture'.
We're very sure visitors and Disney lovers will flock to the Dubai attraction to witness this amazing new structure, which is the result of 10 tonnes of steel, 100,000 plants, 100 workers, engineers and designers... Plus, 50 tonnes of concrete foundation.

Why has Mickey been installed at Dubai Miracle Gardens?
The world's tallest topiary structure in the form of Mickey Mouse comes as part of a new licensing deal between the Dubai Miracle Garden and The Walt Disney Company.
Six more Disney characters will be installed in the garden in November, ready for when it reopens for its winter season.
Mickey himself is made-up of White Petunia, Red Petunia, White Geranium, Yellow Viola, Zinnia Marigold and Green Althernanthera... All with steel structure underneath.
Chafic Najia, Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Ltd, said that the floral statue aims to provide residents with a local Disney experience.
"Mickey Mouse is one of the world's most iconic and beloved characters, and we are proud to be able to celebrate such a unique touch point at the Dubai Miracle Gardens with UAE residents and visitors, and enable them to connect with Disney and our characters," he said.
What other Guinness World Records does Dubai Miracle Gardens have?
The Mickey Mouse floral sculpture is the Dubai Miracle Garden's third Guinness World Record. The top Dubai attraction is also owner of two other record titles, having been recognised for having the 'Largest Vertical Garden in the World' and for the 'Largest Floral Installation', with the Emirates A380 display.
