For anyone living or working in JBR, the last few months have been a painful wait to see when the final segment of the new Ain Dubai observation wheel would be completed.

Now, with much excitement, the world’s largest Ferris wheel in Dubai has finally had its last piece installed – after months of slowly taking shape.

Located on Bluewaters Island, the 210-metre-high observation wheel is set to become the world’s largest and highest, and will provide 360 degree views of the city and Dubai’s coastline.

Also known as the Dubai Eye, Ain Dubai will no doubt be a fantastic addition to Dubai’s skyline once completed… Proven by this image shared by Dubai Media Office on Twitter:

When will Ain Dubai be completed?

While the wheel may look finished, there’s still quite some work to be done – although we can expect it to open at some point in 2018, as the Bluewaters Island development itself also has some final touches to be completed.

Ain Dubai will comprise of 49 passenger capsules – 6 of which will be licensed – and each will be able to fit 40 passengers, and so there’ll be plenty of space in each to stroll around and take in the phenomenal views. We can also expect fine-dining pods, too!
