Sharjah to resume its intercity bus services this Tuesday, with maximum half of its usual capacity

The Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah will be reopened on Tuesday
The intercity bus service in Sharjah will resume operations starting Tuesday, September 15 at 50 per cent of its usual capacity.
The reopening will include strict health and safety precautionary measures to help keep staff and commuters safe, announced Sharjah's emergency, crisis and disaster management authority.
Bus passengers will be subjected to a thermal body scan before they are allowed to board, said Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director-General of Central Operations at Sharjah Police.
Each bus will be sterilised after every trip. Stickers will be placed in seats to ensure physical distancing among commuters. Hand sanitisers will also be available in all buses.
All bus passengers are required to wear face masks throughout the duration of their journey.
Authorities at the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 640 new cases and 468 recoveries, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 79,489. The total number of those who recovered from Coronavirus stands at 69,451.
The death toll is currently at 399.
Over 8.1 million Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the UAE since the outbreak began.
