Here's how to get a free PCR test in the UAE with your Expo 2020 ticket.
While the UAE has placed a capped price of AED 50 for PCR tests, this is only available at select public health centres in the country.
The good news is that you can actually get a cheaper Covid-19 test done at several private hospitals, clinics, and PCR testing centres. If you have a valid ticket to Dubai Expo 2020, you can avail a free PCR test!
A one-day ticket to Expo 2020 can cost you AED 45, which is slightly less than the lowest priced PCR tests in the UAE.
So, what are the requirements to get your free Covid-19 test and where can Expo 2020 ticket holders avail a free PCR test? We've got your questions answered below!

How to avail a free PCR test with your Expo 2020 ticket
To get a free PCR test in the UAE, you must show the following at any participating hospital, clinic or PCR test centre:
- Present your valid Expo 2020 1-day ticket or multi-day pass.
- Your original and valid Emirates ID (for UAE residents) or passport (for tourists and visitors). It's mandatory to show the physical document.
- If you are a UAE resident with a valid Emirates ID, you must show your Covid-19 vaccination history/PCR status on the Al Hosn app.
Individual requirements to avail the free PCR test:
- The ticket-holder must be 18 years old and above to avail a free PCR test.
- A 1-day ticket gives 1 free PCR test.
- A multi-day pass ticket gives a maximum of 3 free PCR tests.
- The ticket-holder must NOT be fully vaccinated or at least received the first dose.
- The offer is not valid for visitors with a Jubilee Experience, Premium Experience, Season Pass, or Family Package.
