Dubai Fitness Challenge 2020

Dubai's turning into the most active city in the world this month, as the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) returns to the emirate.

In its fourth year, the Dubai Fitness Challenge will return from October 30th to November 28th 2020 - and will transform Dubai into one of the most active cities in the world thanks to its month-long calendar of events.

All about motivating and involving Dubai's residents in exercises, the challenge prompts UAE residents to commit to 30 minutes of continuous exercise a day for 30 days.

How the Dubai Fitness Challenge started

The Dubai Fitness Challenge first came to Dubai in 2017 as a citywide initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government.

With one, simple goal in mind; the challenge encourages everyone in the city to exercise continuously for at least 30 minutes for 30 consecutive days.

In 2017, almost 1 million people from the Dubai Government and corporate sectors, and schools, universities, and the general public joined in the movement and committed to getting their daily #Dubai30x30.

For 2018, a wide range of over 4,000 gym activities, free fitness facilities, sports, as well as weekend fitness carnivals was enjoyed across the city.

Last year, the citywide event closed off with a massive mudder challenge at Dubai Festival City, which put many of us to the test.

For 2020, the Dubai Fitness Challenge will continue its commitment to wellness and bring the fitness world to you.

What's in store for #Dubai30x30 this year

There's an exciting calendar of fitness events, classes and activities that participants can get involved with; including more than 3,000 community-led events and exciting programmes. Getting fit has never been easier.

Whilst DFC is focused on exercise, being active is not just about moving; as the initiative encourages participants to embrace the challenge and turn their dreams into achievements. Dubai Fitness Challenge is about creating champions out of challengers, and a society of happy, global citizens.
