Interested in adopting a pet in Dubai?
There are dozens of cuddly canines up for adoption at animal shelters across the UAE.
But why an animal shelter and not a pet store? Well - you save a life, you help in reducing the pet overpopulation in Dubai, you can choose from a wide selection of pups and dogs, you adopt a pet who received great love and care, you're supporting a charity/animal community centre, and it also encourages others to adopt not shop!
K9 Friends, the country's longest-running dog rescue centre, have eight dogs who are looking for a forever home. Apart from these dogs being utterly lovable, they aren't just your typical "Spot", "Buster", "Lady", and "Duke" - their given names are also utterly unique.
1.) Sultan
Meet Sultan! A hopeful rags-to-riches story, Sultan was rescued from the road by a kind man and the team at K9 Friends saved his life. He needed to go straight to the vet suffering from severe dehydration but made a full recovery. He's a nearly 4-month old bouncy, playful, and friendly puppy who will be neutered at 6 months.

2.) Tulsi
Hi, Tulsi! Found in an industrial area with her siblings, this playful desert mix puppy is perfect for any pawrents out there. She’s nearly 4 months now and will be neutered at 6 months. Hopefully, she has her forever family by then.

3.) Wilma
Hello, Wilma! This 4-year-old girl thought she had her forever home... but was sadly left behind when her family relocated. Wilma is a calm and gentle labrador mix who is neutered and house trained.

4.) Bennet
This is Bennet! He was rescued with his momma on an industrial site. Playful and sweet, this lil black and white desert mix is a perfect family pet! He'll be neutered at 6 months, and he's waiting for you at K9 Friends.
5.) Kamala
Meet Kamala! She's a pretty Collie mix who needs someone to help build her confidence. This 2-year-old girl came to the rescue shelter with her puppies and is gentle, shy and affectionate. She’s seen her puppies grow up and is now neutered and ready for her forever home.

6.) Laila
This is Laila, an elephant earned hound who's always desperate for cuddles. She’s 18 months old, neutered, and loving. She’s a very sweet girl who one day might grow into her ears!

7.) Kirsten
Howdy, Kirsten! Found and rescued from a construction site with her pups, she's a sweet gal whose kids have left home. Kirsten is neutered and looking for a new family.

8.) Bendy
This is Bendy! A beautiful Shepherd mix, he was found outside a villa in Abu Dhabi. He was looked after by a kind man until K9 Friends had space for him. 8 months old now, neutered, and ready to give a family lots of love.
