Review of the Oxygen Facial at Avant Garde Beauty Centre in JLT

Being British, I have very fair, sensitive skin that tends to fall prey to redness, blemishes, and flushes. With my skin in need of a pick-me-up ahead of my summer travels, the Triple Oxygen Facial was the perfect way to refresh, rejuvenate and replenish my face, and here's why.

The Triple Oxygen Facial combines Dermalogica facial products with a three-step oxygen booster, that leaves you with younger, brighter skin and a dewy glow. It's perfect for all skin types and is favoured by Hollywood celebrities like Madonna because of its amazing results.

At Avant Garde, the facial is delivered by highly trained facial therapists, as it works on the deeper layers of your skin to revive, repair and regenerate your skin's elastin and collagen.

During your facial, your skin receives a boot of hyperbaric oxygen, before being infused with an anti-aging serum, moisturiser, vitamins, and antioxidants. There are three steps in which oxygen is applied; the first, via oxygen therapy whereby you inhale the oxygen supply during a face massage, then the other two steps help to atomise the moisturisers and serums applied to your skin in various concentrations.

The verdict

As mentioned, my skin had small blemishes and slight redness before I arrived for my review - and after, the redness had subsided completely.

The process did not hurt at all and I was entirely comfortable throughout. The oxygen facial at Avant Garde Beauty Centre has no side effects, and zero downtime - and you can even re-apply your make-up after 24 hours post-facial. It's advised you don't apply your face sooner, so as not to make the skin look oily afterwards.
