UAE students and staff cannot return to school without screening for the Coronavirus first

The mandatory student health screening is part of the UAE Ministry of Health's precautionary measures.
The UAE Ministry of Education announced that all private and public school students, teachers, and staff will not be allowed to return to school without screening for the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) beforehand. The move is in line with the authorities' efforts to limit the spread of Covid-19.
The mandatory health test applies to school, university, college, and nursery students across the country.
On the Ministry's official Twitter account, representatives tweeted that students and staff must undergo medical tests and follow a 14-day self-quarantine at home, especially if they recently travelled outside of the country within the last 28 days.
No one must be allowed to return to school premises without proving they test negative for the Coronavirus. The decision comes after the UAE Ministry of Health and the UAE Ministry of Education said that all students will have an extended spring break for four weeks starting Sunday, March 8.
Two weeks before the spring holidays end, schools must carry out their own Distance Learning programme to help avoid any disruptions in students' education.

During the month-long vacation, all educational facilities and premises will undergo disinfection and deep-cleaning.
