The iconic "Apologise" band is set to close this year's Jazz Fest run
In what has become one of the most awaited music festivals of the year, the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival once again brings a cornucopia of jazz, blues, and rock performances to the Middle East. The stage has seen the likes of A-List performers Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Tom Jones, Coldplay, and Enrique Iglesias. And this year - it doesn't disappoint.
For its 18th edition, American pop rock band OneRepublic will be headlining the final day of the three-day festival on Friday 28th February 2020 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, with support from jazz band Sammy Miller & The Congregation.
Since 2002, OneRepublic has been pulling out a string of popular tracks such as Counting Stars, If I Lose Myself, and Good Life.
The group shot to infamy in 2007 with their debut album, when its lead single Apologise - remixed by artist Timbaland - turned into a breakout international hit.
Since their career, OneRepublic has sold over 10 million records worldwide, has been featured in the Netflix music documentary series "Once in a Lifetime Sessions", and an upcoming fifth album is already in the works.
The band has also landed many awards and nominations, including the Billboards Music Awards, American Music Awards, and World Music Awards. Lead vocalist Ryan Tedder won three Grammy Awards for his songwriting work for popular artists Adele and Taylor Swift.
See Lionel Richie and Lauryn Hill
The enigmatic songstress Ms. Lauryn Hill, who returned to the music scene last year with "Guarding The Gates", will be headlining Day 1 of Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival.
American soul legend Lionel Richie will take the stage for Day 2, ready to have the audience sing and dance to his timeless hits.
