Actress Karen Gillan has been confirmed as the next major guest at this year’s MEFCC

The 2018 edition of the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) will be returning to Dubai this April and already has an unmissable line-up of stars to see.
Adding to the already impressive guest list, which includes Game of Thrones’ star Carice van Houten and Star Trek’s Karl Urban, will be Scottish actress and former model Karen Gillan.
Best known for her role of Amelia Pond in the British sci-fi TV series, Doctor Who, the girl who waited first crashed onto our screens as Matt Smith’s first companion.
Since, the red-head has debuted on the big screen as Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, and will be returning again this year for Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. Her latest film, JUMANJI, has already received a record-breaking success, selling 1.4 million tickets in the Middle East alone.

Celebrity Guests at MEFCC 2018
The announcement of Karen Gillan’s appearance at this year event has topped an already stellar line-up of celebrities who will be attending the 2018 edition of MEFCC.
Carice van Houten, best known for her lead roles as Melisandre on Game of Thrones, as well as in Paul Verhoeven’s award-winning Black Book and Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie opposite Tom Cruise, will be joining this year’s MEFCC in Dubai.
Star Trek fans will no doubt be thrilled to see New Zealand actor, Karl Urban coming to Dubai. Best known for his performance in Star Trek and The Lord of the Rings series, the actor also plays Skurge in the recent 2017 Marvel Studios film, Thor: Ragnarok.
Other guest stars include Jason David Frank, best known for his role as Tommy Oliver in the long-running family TV show, Power Ranges, as well as Adam Kubert, an American comics artist known for his work for publishers such as Marvel Comics and DC Comics.
