Thank you all for ur replies. My husband consulted the officials this morning and was told that we need to apply for DS residence visa just like a regular procedure. no fines as DS is already outside the UAE.

Has anyone gone over the 120 days you're allowed to get a visa for your newborn and know the charges please? Its says 100dhs a day but someone else said they think there's a standard 70dhs charge and then 7/8dhs a day. Can anyone shed any light please? Thank you Hello ladies! I have a very confusing situation over here... Our DS was born on 11.01.2011 in Dubai. For some stupid reason me and DH did not know that a newborn requires a visa according to UAE legislation. We only applied for a birth certificate and added DS to my passport. As for myself, I am on my husbands sponsorship visa as a dependent. On 27th of may we have left UAE from Sharjah airport without nobody asking for an exit newborn visa. The passport control lady only stamped my passport and wrote "+1" next to it. My questions are: 1. How will my son enter the country when we return to UAE ?! what is the right procedure in a current case? 2. Obviously, we have exceeded the 120 days allowed period and need to pay charges. Is that true, every day overdue = 100 dhs?! edited by Aya on 07/06/2011
