LMAO at Freckles 1! Now no one will want to be our friend!! :)
Of course there isnt anything wrong with making friends with people with kids, its just that it is more difficult as [b'>they tend to make friends with other parents [/b'>who have more things in common. We recently went to a couple of bbqs and the parents there unfortunately would only talk about their kids and schools and so on...
Aberdeenshiregirl and baggiebabe, thanks fpr the suggestions, will definately give it a go.
not always..we're still new here but we have made some good friends from husband's work including a family who live nearby. We have children and apart from the nearby family none of our friends have children here...
Sounds like an ad for a swingers party hehehehehe! Sorry!
there's nothing wrong with making friends with people who have kids you know......us mummies still love a boogie and a small glass of sherry at the weekend ;) We don't all sit in knitting circles and sip tea!

*like* :)
When my hubby and I arrived in Al Ain I went to the coffee morning and met some really nice folk. We arranged to go to a quiz with our respective hubbies who had not met. Luckily the men got on too and now we have a group of about five or six couples who regularly meet up. Only now they have to come to Dubai and meet us. It does take time.
Hi Sunseeker
Not sure if they will delete this or not, but I have made some great friends of social circles dubai, I joined the Adventure Unknown group, there is a crowd of us that go camping a lot in UAE and Oman, we also arranged an end of year party great fun!
